Meet & Mingle with Lisa Darnell, APR on August 7
Fort Walton Beach, Fla. - Meet the Emerald Coast Public Relations (ECPRO) Board of Directors and mingle with our August guest speaker, Lisa Darnell, APR on August 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the lobby bar at The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach.

Darnell served as the 2022 President of Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF), which represents the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Northwest Florida. She currently works in the Office of the President and CEO of the International Fertilizer Development Center. Her scope of work includes improving employee morale, planning international conferences for 2024, moving a committee forward on their tasks, and general brand management in the community and beyond.
On Tuesday, August 8, Darnell will give an overview of the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) process at the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. Her presentation, entitled "APR: 5 W’s, an H and a bonus Who," will answer these questions:
Who should pursue APR?
What – What exactly is the “process”?
When - When should I pursue APR?
Where – Where can I find opportunities to learn?
Why – Why should I pursue accreditation?
How – How can I complete the process?
