Application Period Open for 2024 ECPRF Scholarships
Fort Walton Beach, Fla. - The Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors planning to pursue a college degree in the areas of public relations, communication, marketing or journalism.
In 2023, the Foundation awarded two scholarships to recipients, Ava Patroni and Joshua Jacobs, both of Gulf Breeze High School.
Applicants must be high school seniors residing in Okaloosa, Walton or Santa Rosa counties, with a GPA of 3.75 or higher, a U.S. citizen, and planning to pursue studies in public relations, communication, marketing or journalism. Also required are a brief essay addressing an ethical issue in public relations or journalism and a list of demonstrated leadership or community service.
The Foundation has awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from Crestview, Niceville, Pace, Gulf Breeze, Choctawhatchee and Fort Walton Beach High Schools.
Deadline for applications, electronically or by mail, is March 15, 2024. The application and additional information are available in high school guidance counselors' offices and at www.ecpro.org.
