Join us for Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO)’s June Lunch & Learn with guest speaker, Amariles Rosado, who will speak about the role of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in PR.
Amariles will encourage you to ask yourself some hard questions:
Do you really want diversity?
What is it really going to take to become inclusive?
How do you go beyond the equal opportunity employer statement on a job application?
Amariles currently serves as the Executive Director of AMIkids Emerald Coast, which is a non-profit organization that helps troubled and at-risk youth to tap into their potential and meet their goals. She understands many of the circumstances and situations her students are facing because of her own experiences overcoming poverty, abuse, teen pregnancy and homelessness. Against all odds she strived to get her college education as a single Hispanic mother of three. Today, she helps others overcome barriers, find hope and reach for their dreams.
During the meeting, Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation (ECPRF) is will also award not one, but TWO scholarships to outstanding Gulf Breeze High School graduates! ECPRF Director, Joe Purka, and Secretary, Sherry Harlow, will award individual $1,000 college scholarships to Ava Patroni and Joshua Jacobs.
