The Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Courtney Faulkner, a senior at Niceville High School.
Faulkner was selected by the Foundation’s board of judges for the 2019 scholarship award based on her academic records, leadership and community activities, letters of recommendation and her essay on Honesty in Journalism.
She plans to attend the Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala. in the fall, majoring in Marketing and Management.
The Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation was established in 2007 as a non-profit charitable organization to support education and advancement in public relations and related fields. The Foundation provides scholarships to worthy high school students who intend to pursue a higher education field of study in public relations, communication, marketing or journalism.
Over the past three years, the Foundation awarded a total of four scholarships to graduating seniors from Fort Walton Beach, Choctawhatchee and Pace High Schools.
Scholarships are funded through donations from individuals, the Eglin Federal Credit Union and the Niceville office of Carr, Riggs and Ingram, LLC.
