ECPR FOUNDATION

The Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization, (ECPRO), was organized to foster an interest in the public relations field, to encourage professional development for those employed in the field, and to maintain a high degree of standards and ethics in the performance of public relations.

The Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation, Inc. was established in 2007 as a 501 (c)(3), nonprofit charity to support education and advancement in the public relations field.

The focus of the educational support in the beginning was to provide awards and recognition of public relations and media achievements at the middle school and high school levels. However more recently, the focus has shifted to scholarship awards for the advancing high school senior.

The ECPRO Foundation provides scholarships to worthy high school students who intend to pursue a higher education field of study in public relations, communication, marketing or journalism.

The Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and a Member-At-Large. The Board is elected by members of the Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization, Inc., a 501(c) (6) professional organization and Board members receive no compensation for their service as members of the Foundation board.
